Gender Matters would like to invite you to the launch of an exciting new project called ‘Mapping My Journey’. We have been awarded Heritage Lottery Funding to capture the stories of 20 trans people, culminating in an exhibition in 2014.
The project aims to research, collate and celebrate the personal - living memory - history of the Trans Community.
Come along to find out more about Gender Matters, learn more about the trans community and our current projects; including ‘Mapping My Journey’.
We would like to bring together local public and third sector organisations and members of the trans community to raise awareness of our work and celebrate our successes. We are pleased to confirm that GIRES (Gender Indentity Research and Education Society) will deliver the keynote speach and members of the trans community will be telling their stories.
The event will begin at 1.30pm and we hope that you will join us for our networking reception which will begin 4.30pm where a light buffet will be provided in the Arena Bar.
