Regard, the national organisation of LGBT disabled people, is seeking volunteers to support the rehearsals and performances of our forthcoming production, Vis-a-Visibility.
Vis-a-Visbility is being created and directed by Clare Summerskill, following drama workshops for and about the lives of LGBT disabled people which have been running over the past month.
Rehearsals start at People Show studios in Bethnal Green on 31 May, and the project ends with two performances at the same venue on Sunday 10 June.
Volunteers can commit to one or two days only, and tasks include making drinks, opening doors, moving props, and generally facilitating participants.
On 10 June, we need additional volunteers to help with setting up the theatre and welcoming audience members, as well as providing continuing support to the performers.
This should be a very rewarding project which also offers the opportunity to observe how a participatory theatre project is constructed.
